If it costs money I can understand the delay. If it is free though, why not? The more places people can find your book the more people who have a chance to read it. Especially in the indie situation where it's often, "Why not? It's only a dollar." (or 3 or whatever). Also, you might want to look into how Kobo's facebook-run thing, I think it's called Reading Life, works. Is it something they program? Something that requires the book to be through Kobo? Or something strictly for traditionally published books? If it is applicable to all titles purchasable through Kobo, I must say it's a pretty unique feature from what I have heard.
